Unfortunately due to limited demand and lack of facilities, we are no longer operating the transshipment service for the Small Parcel service. We will however operate the service during the Portland UK port calls of the RMS ST Helena. There are still freight services available on the transshipment service via the freight agents MacAndrews & Company Ltd.

The Small Parcel Service will handle all consignments up to 0.5 cubic metres in volume. Any items bigger than this must be booked as cargo through the UK Cargo Agent, MacAndrews and Company Ltd. The Small Parcel Refrigerated Service will also be available at limited times. Please contact the Small Parcel Agents for details.

 Small Parcels will be accepted between 09:00 and 16:00 on weekdays between the published dates (excluding Bank Holidays) when the RMS St Helena is in Portland (see schedule page for latest times). They can also be sent by post or courier to us if prior arrangements are made to complete the shipment declarations. Goods can also be accepted direct from manufacturers or suppliers such as Argos but again only if prior arrangements are made to complete the shipment declarations.

On the direct service passengers unaccompanied baggage can also be taken at a reduced cost. Please see the Baggage page for full details.

Please note that security restrictions are in force at all UK Ports in the wake of terrorist activity in the UK. Access for people bringing goods will be limited by the security staff at Portland Port, who reserve the right to refuse admission to the Port. We reserve the right to search, open, X-Ray or otherwise examine any goods delivered for shipment.
